iPod Nano's Older Brother

We've all heard about the new nano. It's awesome for anyone who wanted more than a mini iPod but less that a 20 gig. What about everyone else? What about the iPod owners with 2,000+ songs? Well, it's here and not only is it a larger Nano, it plays video! The nano has reinvented the mini, and now the original iPod. It is the thinnest iPod yet and it's screen is a whopping 2.5 inches (320 x 240). It's battery life also exceeds the iPod standards at 20 hours of battery life. If you've been waiting for the perfect iPod, this is it. The photo iPod was cool but not like this. This is a total revolution in musical technology.

Now for the video. iTunes now sells video. Music videos and TV shows. Each going for $1.99 an episode. The incredible new hardware is capable of compressing H.264, the best and smallest HD quality video. 750 kbps video and 128 kbps audio. Basically, this new iPod is amazing.

The new iPod comes with a new dock. A dock with a sensor, A sensor for a remote, and a remote to control your iPod from a afar. That means play, pause, stop, fast worward, and rewind: Slideshows, videos, and, of course, music, all from your couch. OK, well, I've said enough. Go see for yourself!

The New iPod

iPod Nano

The iPod nano is the new mini... literally. The mini is now being replaced by the iPod nano. But don't be hurt, mini fans, the iPod nano is the same price and it looks like a small normal iPod with a bigger screen. A bigger, color screen. This iPod is the smallest yet, being thinner than a pencil. It's hold 1,000 colorfull songs. Well, there's not much else to say other than... this is something any iPod fan can't pass up. But if you want a bigger nano, there's the new video iPod (see other post)

The Pen That could Fly!

Fly. Not a word that is usually asscociated with pens. Within 2 weeks of writing this, I expect that the word "fly" will be a known word.
The whole idea seems well, silly. A pen that knows what you write? A "Pentop Computer"? My first look at this and I thought, "just another stupid leapfrog toy". Then I went on the site and I saw how it works and frankly, I'm impressed! I mean imagine, really imagine. Stop thinking about how stupid I sound and imagine... You are bored.. really bored. Not "Longview" bored if you know what I mean - but bored, nontheless. You have a Fly pen and some FLY paper (that's funny. The paper for the fly is FLY paper... HA!". You flip the switch to turn on the word sensing laser and draw a circled "FT" on your paper. ALl of a sudden the pen jumps to life as you hear "Fly tones! Draw your keyboard and drums". You probably would ask yourself if you knocked out some brain cells when you smashed your head on a desk from the agony of algebra. No, this is for real, and no, you can't pass for being retarted now. SO BACK TO THE SUBJECT AT HAND. So you draw a sloppy keyboard and some round drum pads. Then you draw a little R for "record". You take a deep breath, pretend you aren't looking and play the piano on you paper, and it works! so you lay down some beats. You add in some more. the drums come to life and your very own keyboardist is paying a rocked out version of Mozart and you are a drum master... then you wake up with drool all over your new pen. Actually, I wasn't kiddding. Well, about the drawing and tapping bit at least. Not only can you ROCK OUT, you can also play games, use a calculator, scedule an alarm.. etc. It's awesome. I just hope that this thing is actually cool and not just a leapfrog toy.
